Trails

Signs are probably down in some areas, if you ride and see some missing or damaged let someone know so we can get them fixed. Crossing Route 104 at Refractory is still in the works, just need to get across the creek north of 104, we might need to build a bridge. A culvert would need to be approved by the town so this will be a spring job. Groomers are ready to run but haven’t had any real use this season. We need to get some grooming in to make sure we reach our grant numbers this year, so remember to log all times and miles. Jim Rosington has repaired the washout on S42 east of Geneva north of Morely Rd. GPS of the trails has been done in order to get accurate mileage for the state.

State News

Trail maps are $1 each and available at Valero, Rascals Sonoco in Ontario and Mobil in Williamson. NYSSA Spring forum is coming up and several members will be attending, a few spots are still available. If you are interested in going contact Mark Barnes.

Club News

Current membership has reached 335. Please remember to check the website regularly for updates on events that depend on snow. Mark Barnes and John Faulks have met with a CPA to get information on a not for profit status and find that the benefits seem to be worth the effort, there is still more work and research to done on that. We will be entering a float in the Apple Blossom Parade this year with the theme being “Welcome to the Jungle” and will need several helpers, please contact Darlene or Mark. Next Board of Directors meeting will be February 26th, 7:00 pm at John Faulks’ house, 6728 Tuckahoe Rd - 589-4979 for directions.

Fundrasing

Anyone interested in advertising with the club on the groomer, the website, or on the trail should contact Jeff or Laura Morlock. The rates are listed on the website. Super raffle tickets sales have slowed but they are still available if you need more contact Mark Barnes. T-shirts are still available at all meetings or from Mark Barnes. Mike Montgomery suggested that the club sponsor a family bingo night and we will check with Pultneyville about hosting that. We are also looking at setting up a booth for the weekend of Apple Blossom to sell raffle tickets, etc. we will need several helpers for that event so what better way to be part of the celebration and contribute to the club at the same time. As always any suggestions for fundraising is greatly appreciated.
