Meetings are Held at Pultneyville Fire Hall on the Second Tuesday of each Month at 7:30PM
SNOW
Yep, if this keeps up our season is looking better than last year.
Please remember that our trails are
CLOSED and do not open until after hunting season. Keep in mind the very people who are gracious enough to let us use their land are currently out there hunting. If we upset them we could lose a section of trail. And also it's never a good idea to tick off someone who's cold and has a gun!!!
Please get your registrations in ASAP, our funding each year from the parks dept is based on the registration numbers BEFORE Dec 1.
The webcam is back up, we are currently working on a bigger better webcam, so keep an eye out, you'll know it when we make the switch.
Think Cold and snow and see you on the trails in about a month, no sooner please.

Last night's Meeting
Well, last night's meeting was a rousing success.
Thank you Webster for the Pizza, I can say that I was pretty hungry by the time I got there, so it really hit the spot.
We discussed whether the general club would be interested in a day with Santa, it doesn't appear that there is enough interest. IF there is anyone out there that has small children that would be interested please contact us, we do greatly enjoy working with our youngest snowmobilers.
We also raised our first installment to go towards our scholarship fund. Come out next meeting, buy a 50/50 and support the fund at the same time.
Now for the really interesting and alarming information.
Ontario Midland Railroad paid us a visit, and what they had to say was scary. As you know they work very closely with us to make sure we have our trail system, without their consent there would be no connector trails from north of 104 to south of 104. We cross the rail road a couple of times.
Ontario Midland Railroad was nice enough to come out and give us a presentation on the effect of riding a snowmobile on the rails. Below is the almost $1 million dollar result of doing a seeming simple thing like riding on the tracks. And yes
ALL THE TRACKS THAT WE RIDE NEAR ARE ACTIVE IN THE WINTER Even those that go to Webster.

Yes you are looking at the underside of a locomotive that derailed in Wolcott as a result of packed snow made by riding on the tracks.
We will be providing more information as the season nears on this subject, we don't want to see any of you cause this, get arrested on the tracks, or worst of all get killed on the tracks.

New Server
The driftriders have a new webserver, no one of you should notice anything more than an improvement in speed. If you do, please let me know.
In addition, we will be trying to limit the snail mail correspondence, yes you'll still get a map, but we would like to limit the mail costs. Please make sure we have your current email address.
Someone, please put in a large order of snow this year.

Fall is Coming
Free FoodHa, got your attention.
It's that time of year again, time to roll back the cover and check to see if the mice ate your seat.
It's also time for trail work, for those of you that have never come out for a trail work detail, you're missing a lot of fun, and free food. We have number of projects to complete before the season begins, some are already in progress.
If you are interested in helping, you can contact me, or let Mark Barnes (315) 576-5130 know, he has his finger on the project list and can help you get in touch with the right group depending on what time you have.
Remember we have all sorts of fun power tools.
